Mayor & City Council

The City of Rhome is a Type A - General Law city operating under the Aldermanic form of government. The term 'alderman' is often used interchangeably with the term city council, and the modern name of the Board of Alderman is the 'City Council'. The City Council is made up of the Mayor and five (5) Council Members; the Mayor does not vote except in the case of a tie. Council Members serve a two-year term of office.

Mayor Kenneth Crenshaw
Originally elected May 2024.  He will begin his second term in May 2026.  He retired from the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel, having served for over 32 years.  He holds a B.S. degree from LA Tech University and a M.S. in Organizational Management from Southwest University.  He has lived in Rhome since 2009 and is married with 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren.

Mayor Pro-Tem Michelle Tye - Place 2
Michelle Tye was appointed to Place 2, on January 20, 2021. She was re-elected in May of 2023.  She holds a BAAS in criminal justice from Midwestern State and has been a police officer since 1993 where she works with her K9 partner, Nina. She has a vast knowledge in the law enforcement realm and supports management to procure grant funding for her professional division.

Randall Loftis - Place 3 
Elected in May of 2023, Mr. Loftis spent 40 years as an IT Consultant and is now retired. He is serving the citizens of Rhome as a Councilmember and as President, of the Board of Directors, for the Rhome Community Library.  Union Pacific Railroad - 16 years - Logistics programming, process re-engineering, project management, budgeting. Georgia Pacific Corporation - 6 years - Management of teams with 20 or more personnel, responsible for budgets in excess of $22 million. TechDawgs Inc. - 18 years - Ownership of S Corporation. Responsible for all aspects of business; conception, business plan, finance, marketing, sales, and operations.

Kristi King - Place 4
Kristi King was appointed to Place 4 in April 2023. She was re-elected in May 2023 and May 2024 for a two year term. Kristi King holds a Masters degree in Educational Administration. She was employed by Northwest Independent School District for twenty years, having served the last twelve years as the principal of Roanoke Elementary. Her areas of expertise include strategic planning and communication, organizational leadership, management and resource allocation. Mrs. King has lived in Rhome for 18 years with her husband and two children.

Jeremy Finch - Place 5 - Appointed November 2025
Jeremy Finch was appointed to Place 5 in November 2025. He was re-elected in May 2026. He has 25 years of experience in municipal Public Works water, sewer, and drainage infrastructure. He has been with Argyle Water Supply Corp. since 2011. He has an associate degree in GIS and many state water licenses. His mission is to help and support the city and the citizens while Rhome grows.

City Council Meeting Schedule

Rhome City Council meetings are generally held the second and fourth Thursday of each month at the Rhome Community Center, 261 North School Road. The meetings will start at 6 pm with Executive Session to follow immediately after.
